Location
LLangarron is a pretty village situated between the market towns of Monmouth and Ross-on-Wye and both of these offer a good range of shopping facilities, schooling, dining and leisure pursuits. Llangarron itself has a welcoming village community; there are three venues - The Garron Centre, St Deinst Church and Llangarrron Village Hall. Not only do these give local residents a place to gather, a variety of events are staged in these settings, such as classical concerts, coffee mornings and yoga classes.
The village is also set within easy access to the A40 and the M50, both of which give excellent commuter links.
The home at a glance
Tregwyn is a home that gives a true sense of country living. All manner of wildlife frequent the beautiful garden; hares visit the idyllic spot, dragonflies hatch around the wildlife pond, butterflies flutter around the vibrant flowers and numerous birds - buzzards, owls and many more are often spotted soaring around the skies.
The home has two reception rooms, the largest has a natural stone fireplace which houses a multi-fuel burning stove. It is surrounded by a characterful wooden mantle which features holes where the cooking spits were once stored. A cased opening links this with the second reception room and, if one wished, the wall separating the two spaces could be taken down to create one, much larger lounge.
The kitchen/dining room is a very inviting space. There is a Rayburn solid-fuel cooker and a coal hole is conveniently placed next to the kitchen.
The family shower room is also found on the ground floor of the property - this contains a walk-in shower, plus a two-piece white suite.
The top floor of the home is split in two sections - one staircase is found next to the shower room and this leads to four bedrooms, all of which feature charming exposed beams. Two of the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate double beds and one of these contains hand-built fitted wardrobes. The other two bedrooms have space to house single beds.
The second staircase leading to the first floor is found beyond the kitchen and this leads to the substantial fifth bedroom. There is also a hot water tank, housed in a cupboard next to this room which is primarily heated by the Rayburn cooker, but there is also an immersion heater.
Outside, there are two double stone barns - one is used as a workshop and the other as a store room but, if one wished, there is scope to convert one or both of these into self-contained accommodation (STP).
