This immaculate home takes its name from the thriving pear trees in the centre of the generous garden. Behind its gated entrance, an expansive driveway - which provides ample parking - leads to the pretty red brick house and a detached double garage, which has a room above. This serves as an ideal studio/office but, if one required, the entire building could be converted into a self-contained annexe or apartment with its own outdoor space, subject to the necessary consents.
Beautiful walks are on the doorstep. From Pear Tree Cottage's rear garden gate, one can walk through fields and wildflower meadows to the breath-taking views of Marcle Ridge and on to Woolhope which boasts two traditional country pubs - The Butcher's Arms and The Crown Inn.
The home at a glance
The stylish kitchen includes ample food preparation space, wooden worktops, spot lighting and a wood-burning stove, which is framed by exposed brickwork. A table, which accommodates six diners, comfortably fits next to this feature, so families can enjoy winters savouring meals before crackling flames.
The voluminous rooms in the house are all filled with natural light and face out to lovely views, mostly of the flourishing garden, the hills and patchwork fields beyond.
The triple-aspect sitting room attracts plenty of light and is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquillity that the location provides.
A generous slate patio offers plenty of space to entertain outdoors and this area perpetually radiates warmth. The main garden boasts a large sloping lawn with a variety of fruit trees. Views of the Malvern Hills, ever changing with the seasons, are a delight. As the garden encircles the cottage, there is always a shady or sunny spot to be found.
